Spencer Scott Webb serves as Managing Partner and Head of LCG Advisory Services. In this capacity, his team provides consulting expertise and interim CFO services to mid-sized companies with revenues from $5 million to $300 million in multiple industries including automotive, healthcare, insurance, manufacturing, and retail. Many clients are in the midst of key transactions such as raising capital, restructuring, improving lender relationships, or acquisitions. Webb has helped clients optimize accounting close processes, develop financial forecasts, implement profitable pricing structures, improve cash flow via enhanced payables and receivables management, and obtain new financing through LCG’s expansive network of lenders. A particular specialty is improving financial reporting to banks and other lenders. Having performed many due diligence engagements for lender clients of sister company Lenders Consulting Group, Webb has a indepth understanding of requirements for a mutually satisfactory lender-borrower relationship. His background includes conducting survey exams to assess a borrower’s collateral, analyze trends, and review systems, operations, and financial reporting processes. A Certified Public Accountant, Webb brings to LCG Advisory Services 14 years of accounting and finance experience including four years of public accounting “Big 4” experience with Deloitte & Touche and three years with a major public retail company, Eckerd Corporation. He has an in-depth understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements, as well as a unique ability to partner with client firms to understand their businesses, identify problem areas, develop clear strategies, and drive performance improvements. While at Deloitte & Touche for four years, he led audits of both public and private companies in a wide range of industries including agriculture, automotive, healthcare, insurance, manufacturing, and mortgage lending. Webb was involved in all phases of client engagements including client acceptance, planning, testing, and financial reporting. At Eckerd Corporation, Webb managed pricing analysis and processes for three years for this multi-billion-dollar pharmacy and general merchandise retailer since acquired by Rite Aid. He was instrumental in creating improved Excel and SQL-based processes that eliminated hundreds of thousands of dollars in pricing errors and automated manual proofing. Previously, Webb served as CFO of the Nova Scotia-based Webb Group, a private holding company with six businesses totaling $5 million in annual revenue. There, he spearheaded a corporate restructuring which encompassed computerizing accounting systems and consolidating disparate corporate accounting functions. Webb holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a minor in Economics from St. Francis Xavier University in Nova Scotia. He also completed accounting graduate studies at the University of South Florida. Spencer Scott Webb is a member of AICPA (American Institute of Certified Public Accountants), FICPA (Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants), and IMA (Institute of Management Accountants). He is additionally a member of the Phi Theta Sigma National Honor Society and is active in United Way fundraising.
